Birth and death

I believe that one's day of birth and death are predetermined. That's why even when some people commit suicide, not all of them die because it's not yet their time. Likewise, people cannot choose when to be born, and neither can they choose their parents.
However, the events that occur at the time between life and death depend on the person's choices.
Your life is what you make it. You cannot prevent your death, though, no matter how hard you try, because no one is immortal.
What are your thoughts on birth and death?

I have been thinking about how to continue living even though when times get tough, I rely on my faith to stay active working with the knowledge that the dark times will pass.
