Russia has seized the second largest Lithium mine in Ukraine

July 14, 2025 12:29am CST
The Ukraine-Russian war seems to have entered another phase and now there is grabbing of resources. The seized mine, located in the Donestk region was one of the most valuable economic places for Ukraine because the lithium mined was used in making batteries.

I think this is the reason why Russia is so into occupying Ukraine.

@ogbenishyna44 That is why they try to capture it, so that the the the US would not touch that or if US badly needed it, they would deal with Russia, not with Ukraine.

@ogbenishyna44 What you have to understand is that Ukrainians are themselves as Little Russians. Russia will win Ukraine will have closer ties with Moscow Ukraine will concede territory And Russia will be their protector It's always worked like that before And that horrible little comedy actor President will get his own TV show and he can eat a Bacon Roll

I hope they dont get all of it.

This creates a direct conflict with the US. This mine was a part of a deal that Ukraine made with the US not long ago. I expect some serious fallout in the next few days. It's very likely the US will move to protect her assets in Ukraine. Either by direct military actions or proxy using Ukraine troops to deploy US military hardware and weapons. I expect this conflict to build quickly.

Hmm...the situation might get complicated..The war can get wider as the US interest is involved in that Lithium mine. Let's see how US gets involved, through direct involvement or proxy war. If it comes out directly, World War 3 is not far. So, that's a dim possibility.
