The NFL hall of Fame Class of 2025 has been determined and to my surprise it's only four people.
Eric Allen
Jared Allen
Antonio Gates
Sterling Sharpe
Eric Allen was the 30th pick in the 1988 draft to the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for 14 seasons for not only the Eagles but also the New Orleans Saints and the Oakland Raiders. He's a six time pro-bowler and earned second-team all pro honors twice. The official number the Pro Football Hall of Fame has listed is he went all pro in 1989, 54 interceptions, 6 pro bowls, and played for 14 seasons.
Jared Allen was the drafted in the fourth round of the 2004 draft to the Kansas City Chiefs. He played 12 seasons with not only the Chiefs but also with the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers. Allen got the NFL sack record in 2007, his last season with the Chiefs. During his years with the Vikings he was a four time pro-bowler, three time all pro honors and led the league in sacks again. When Allen retired in 2015, he held several NFL records including tying for the most safeties in the NFL and the most seasons with leading sack numbers. The Pro Football Hall of Fame has his numbers listed at 4 time All Pro, was in 5 Pro Bowls, 136 sacks and 4 safeties.
Antonio Gates traveled his own path to his victory. The San Diego Chargers signed him as an Undrafted Free Agent. Instead of playing football for his college, Kent State, Gates played basketball and excelled in that sport. He played all 16 seasons with the Chargers and became the all time leader in catches, yards and touchdowns. Gates is a member of the All Decade Team of the 2000's. His Pro Football Hall of Fame lists his numbers at 3 time All Pro,, 8 time Pro Bowler, 11,841 Receiving yards, 955 Receptions, and 116 Touchdowns.
Sterling Sharpe was the first round draft pick to the Green Bay Packers. He played for them for seven seasons. In 1992 he set the record for catches in the a season then topped it the next year. Also in 1992, he earned the NFL statistical champion in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Sharpe led once again in 1994 with his receiving touchdowns. When he retired, Sharpe held seven Packers' records, tied for two and owned three Green Bay post season records. The Pro Football Hall of Fame has his numbers as 3 times All pro, part of the NFL All Decade Team of the 1990's, 5 time Pro Bowler, 8,134 receiving yards, and 595 Receptions.
Put that all together and you have a beautiful Hall of Fame Class of 2025. These men deserve the recognition and honestly I'm proud to say it this year.....

I think the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s rule that at least four people must be inducted every year results in sub-par classes. To me, Sterling Sharpe’s biggest claim to fame is his brother Shannon.
Of course, that’s part of the problem of anyone’s career, like Eli Manning starting out his pro career living in the shadow of Peyton, although they both overcame being Archie Manning’s “kids” to have successful careers on their own.

I don't know. There's been some great players in the Hall of Fame but I think when you put so many in at once, you loose that quality. I think it was last year we had like 20 players inducted

I don't know any of those names. I'm not really a football kind of girl. Now basketball (college) - that's another story.

I'm in love with Football lol but the Hall of Fame has people that were before I was truly into it so I learn new things every year.

I was happy with the class this year. They've been adding so many I think they went back to the roots of the Hall of Fame again.
