I Really Like Being Alone, Do You?

No, not to the extent that I don't want to be with my husband, but I am perfectly okay being alone. Eating in restaurants alone. Going out alone. Going to the gym alone. Just being in the house alone is okay too. I read an article that talked about the personality traits of people who enjoy being alone. They include: They’re naturally curious They’re emotionally independent They’re observant They set strong boundaries They’re low-maintenance friends (I am ridiculously low-maintenance) They’re calm under pressure They’re not afraid of silence Can you relate to any of these traits? How do you feel about being alone sometimes or most or the time? Are you okay with it. My crazy mother-in-law can't stand being alone. She won't sit in her apartment alone, she has to be out shopping or doing something. She refuses to take up a hobby or learn to use streaming tv.

I love being alone. In fact I enjoy it as much as I enjoy being with people I love to. There is a difference between being alone and being lonely. I don't feel lonely. And I have all these traits.

I like my own space - but not all the time. In fact if l am married, hubby and l would definitely have separate bedrooms and bathroom.

Robbie Fulks has a song called “I Like Being Left Alone.” It’s so true.

I know you enjoy cruises, but it's cool to be happy alone at times, too. I'm getting to where I really don't like people all that much. My favorite times (other than when the kids can be here) are when Dale and I sit in the shack in the backyard. It's quiet, no phones or TV, just talking, enjoying nature around us, and often a pit fire. Someone told Dale one time that a fire pit is the best marriage counselor you can ever have. I agree.

Although I generally prefer the company of people (Although truthfully it depends who they are and how long they stay) I am fine being alone for the most part. I like having no one to answer to or to annoy me. Nonetheless I am interested in being coupled again. We are happier together than alone.

Some of those traits apply to me but not all. I’m ok doing things on my own …i do like my own space sometimes , but I also like having someone to share things with

I'm the different one in the group. I hate being alone and miss the companionship of my husband. I have never enjoyed that much "me" time.

Every body needs their space, being alone is not that you describe as lonely person, it's necessary to have your space to think over to plan to stand in no matter what conditions. For me the me time is my time.
