Late Night!!

Good morning fellow mylotters!! We were up late last night and we were just about ready to go to bed about 10 minutes before midnight and we heard firworks!!!! So, the hubby and I were trying to find out where they were coming from. Since I have hearing loss and wear hearing aides, I can't tell which direction sounds come from, so I was loooking out one area and the hubby was looking in another direction. We could tell that some one was in the back, probably in a vacant lot about 4 acres from us. The direction indicated this because by the time they shot them off (several were lit) the fireworks, you could see them in the sky and then they landed in our back yard. Since it's summer time and we had a flood hit us 2 years ago, behind our house is the railroad track and they don't do anything with the weeds that grow up on their property!! I've been trying to keep our 4 acres mowed or using weed killer to keep our weeds down. So, could you imagine a spark landing in the railroad's weeds and it spreading burning our place down....that's all we need after trying to build back from a flood!!!!
