Hello everyone. Good evening from my end. In today's discussion I'm going to share one of the poems (about "Memories") I wrote for NaPoWriMo earlier this April (National Poetry Writing Month). Though I thought I should write at least one poem every day during the month of April, due to other responsibilities I was able to write only about 20 poems. No regrets. I'm happy about it. Here goes my poem.
~ Memories ~
Memories are flowers.
They get dwindled
with time, yet,
their fragrances
keep lingering within us.
Memories are rain showers.
Either they pose as
a pleasant surprise,
or a displeasing
revelation.
Memories are stars.
Though they are not seen
all the time, we can't deny
the fact they exist,
day and night.
Memories are fleeting clouds.
Though they are transient,
they drift across our sky
and make it beautiful
with their sheer presence.
Memories are the Sun.
They instantly invigorate
and optimistically charge
us to proceed in life.
Memories are the Moon.
The mere presence soothes
our heart and gently revives
to serenity.
Memories are coffee.
A few are clearly strong
and some are vaguely light.
Memories are wind chimes.
We never know when a breeze
passes through, and creates
a beautiful symphony of
clinking rings.
Memories are the old photographs.
Revisiting them adds a new
dimension each time.
Memories are a flickering bulb.
They give light in darkness,
yet, also, make the bright
situation murkier.
Memories are shadows.
When the past events block
the present time, they become
visible in our thoughts.
Memories are a built-in time drive.
They smoothly transport us
back to the phase, allowing
us to relive the moment
through the divine essence.
Memories are the six unique flavours.
Each of them adds to the recipe
and makes it a fulfilling one.
Memories are memories.
Each of them unique,
woven intricately to shape
our thoughts and life.

Hope you loved reading my poem. Please do share your thoughts. I would be happy to read them.
Also, please share what you would compare memories with (like I've done in my poem).
Share your creativity. I'm eagerly awaiting here to read yours.
Thank you. Have a great day.

It's a good poem? Memories linger like scent in the air,
Moments once lived, now quiet and rare. Laughter and tears in a photo frame, Echoes of love, never quite the same? memories are something we can be fond of when we are alone when we are sad when we miss?

It's a good poem. Memories are fleeting things that they llinger a moment or so once we become melancholic and downtrodden. They enliven us when good and deserving deeds are reminisced.
