There are parshe fishes exported from Chilka lake in Orissa

As mentioned bengal has many rivers so a wide variety of fishes. But there are certain fishes like parshe majority of which are exported from Chilka lake in Orissa. That lake is even bigger than a river. May be for some geographical reasons the parshe fish grows bigger in size there than rivers of bengal.

The ones in video look fresh ones. I have never cooked this parshe fish. Does it have many fine bones??

@arunima25 thanks Arunimaji some sea fishes have some awkward smell. But once cooked they are delicious. Surmayi Bangra Tuna lacha pomfret are very popular in central and south india.

@sathviksouvik Oh! I see. My younger daughter will eat fresh water fish if they have less bones. She is allergic to sea water fish

@sathviksouvik During my childhood I lived by the sea so there was always an abundance of fish. It was a pastime of many to go fishing. I went once with my brother & caught 21 fish but l did not like the smell or the fact we were killing them. I guess l am too squemish!
