What would you do?

Now, for some bit of fun. I was in a Kenny Rogers Roasters restaurant and as I queued to order, I found out I had only my credit card with me. The problem is I didn't know how much my account balance was, and the cashier was prompting me for my order.
What if my credit card was declined after I ordered all my favorite food?
Luckily, the purchase was accepted and I ate my roasted fish and rice happily. I promised myself to check my balance next time, before I line up for food. It would have been embarrassing if my card had been declined.
What would you do if you ordered food and your credit card was declined? And you don't have cash with you?

I know it may never happen to you because you're organized and meticulous people, but what if this happens? What would you do?

Is your credit could be accessed online? Then check it with your phone if you have the app of the said bank?

@Nakitakona Yes, thank you. I am not that tech savvy, but I will try.

@Jenaisle That's good you access your credit card balance right away so that you won't feel embarrassed.

Who on earth would ever go order not knowing whether they have money or not with them?
I suppose I would cancel the order

Nothing to do with that. I don't have a credit card. I use to pay in cash when buying something in a supermarket.

I make it a habit to check first my wallet if I have a cash, I dont rely on my card because i dont want to experience what you have experienced. i dont want to embarrass myself because my card was declined.
But if that happens to me, I would just cancel my order and walk away
