The road that we took to reach our school was lined up with these rain trees. These trees produced pretty flowers and pods
These pods turned black in colour and dropped down when they were fully ripe. We as kids would pick them up and enjoy them. They were very sweet. The seeds in the pods were thrown out
Back home we were not allowed to eat them as they thought they woudl ruin our health. We would still eat them and lie saying we have stopped eating
One day when mother checked my bag she found the seeds that had accidentally fallen inside the bag
And that was the end of our eating those pods again

Your Mama will not let you eat them Actually they are sweet and fun to eat In fact they are full of nutritition I picked this information
Rain tree (Samanea saman) pods, particularly the ripe ones, are a source of nutrition for both humans and animals. They contain a sweet pulp that is palatable and can be a good source of protein, energy, and other nutrients. The pods can be consumed directly or incorporated into various food products.1 person likes this
