Is it their confidence or stubbornness?

We all come from family background where there are toddlers, kids or children of varing ages in our families. We have all gone through childhood. We have seen children who are not easy to go by if they want something. They want it means they want it.
Some children rest only when they lay their hands on what they want. And till that they either keep pursuing their parents or spread like wildfire.
Have you seen or know such children? What do you think, is it their confidence or stubbornness?

It's called being spoiled. I was not raised like that.

Hahaha... You have a different take on that
But good to know that you weren't brought up like that.

Yes, I have known a few. Some are perhaps a bit spoiled.

At some stage, we certainly encounter these kind of children. And those I knew are in the same category - spoilt.

My teen grandkid is like that. We try to explain to him the disadvantages of why we don't want to give him what he wants. Sometimes, he gives in; sometimes, he doesn't. If he doesn't, he has to suffer the consequences that will eventually come.
It's their ego and their strife to establish their independence and their maturity. They want to let you know that they want to decide for themselves. They need a friend who will listen to them at this phase of their life.

I remember you had asked a certain question regarding the whims of children and how their attention should be diverted. So I can understand how you may be feeling.
