How often do you clean your house?

In summer, when the earth is has gone dry, dust particles easily move around. Even a light breeze is enough to raise a small dust storm. And if a big truck passes by, there is so much dust, that at times it's not even possible to see beyond a few metres until the dust settles down again.
Those people who have houses next to such busy roads, have to clean their houses regularly ?because the dust easily enters the house through doors windows. And no matter how hard you try to stop it by keeping the doors and windows shut or using curtains.
How many of you have houses next to busy roads? And how often do you clean your house no matter if they are next to busy roads or in internal parts?

Yeah, most of us do tidying up here and there almost daily. But vacuuming and deep-cleaning can be once in a fortnight. That's sufficient.

I don't stay close to a busy road but in summer it's still very dusty. Thanks to my robot.

Summer dust is always a big headache. Almost all of us experience this. But it's the other way round in monsoon. Next to no dust at all

@aninditasen During the rainy season the dust particles automatically settle down and are bound by water, especially. That's the case almost everywhere.
If you are living in a developing area where there are no roads yet, then it's more likely that there will be more mud.

@abhi_bangal Yrs, but there's lot of wet mud outside in my city. Inside my house I don't need sqab/ mop everyday during the rainy season.

Ohhhh... We never do that. I mean repairing anything that's broken unless it's in my capacity to do it. Otherwise we call the mechanic to do the work.

@May2k8 If it's not within warranty, then there's no fear. You can "manhandle" the things you want. Because either way you have to repair it. The company isn't going to do it gratis. But the upside is that you learn something new if you try to fix it at home.

@abhi_bangal Usually, if it's no longer under warranty, I try to fix it myself except I don't have the ability to do that.

We lined in such a house for nearby 40 years. So living in a house that's roadside and that too busy road is weird challenging, especially when it comes to dusting. There we used to do all activities almost daily. If not done for 2 days, it'd show immediately.

@abhi_bangal It felt very dusty to the feet especially if you walk in the house without a pair of shoes.

@id_peace That's an important characteristic of a clean house. You walk like how you explained now. Then mop. Then walk again bear foot. You'll instantly feel the difference.

Obviously. Working women cannot do these things on a daily basis. That's why they prefer a holiday like Sunday for house cleaning.

That's what. A side part of the house is a road. That's why you need to sweep your floors daily. I can understand the need to do it.

Yes. No issues. Though I should be doing it, it takes a backseat at times

Our house is surrounded by trees and greenery that protects it from dust. It is mopped once a week and swept twice a week.

Our house is on a bit interior. I mean away from the highway or main road. So there's almost no dust in the house. Though mopping is done once a week, like you do.

Great! Wow... If you are cleaning your house everyday then there might not be much to dust, to be honest. Because you don't allow dust to settle at all LOL!

Lucky you. Don't need to spend a lot of time and energy doing this. Nice! It gives you more time to do other stuff.

Whenever I decide to do some cleaning since it is only me here and the heat and humidity keep me by my AC and fan,

Then that's good for you. Because we used to get majority of the dust due to vehicles plying to and fro. And we also don't have set days to dust. Depends on how much the situations demands.

I live out in semi-country roads. There are a lot of trees and grass. My husband's cousin cleans for me since I can't.

Where there is more grass and greenery, there's always lesser dust. So that's good for you

back when i was still living with my parents, we do clean our house at least once a week. we do general cleaning. But my mom and dad always mop our floors every day and wipe the stains in our kitchen after they cook. As to my boarding house now where i currently stay, I do clean it at least once a week. a clean house is a happy and comfy house thats our motto in our house.

I think your parents coined a very important motto. There's a lot of difference between a non-tidy house and the one that's cleaned daily. A cleaned house will always be fresh and you'll feel positive there. Cleaning is so important.

@abhi_bangal My mom said that a clean house attracts positive energy. And a clean house means everybody in the house are healthy.

Mine is in the housing complex, so no dense dust. However, I have my house regularly cleaned almost everyday.

I have heard that in housing complexes there's someone who comes to clean everyone's houses. A maid maybe. Just for cleaning. The person deep-cleans the houses like once a week.

Dust is one thing that'll find it's way anyhow, no matter how much you lock or use curtains. You'll find dust even in your deep fridger Hahaha... And to live near a national highway. You braveheart
