Do You Spend A Lot Of Time Spreading Great Music?

I do this with music, movies, and stand-up comedy. I think it's more impactful than information. Moving the heart and the brain is probably more effective for positive social change than reading articles from the mid-70s, regardless of how well it's written.
I'm curious about what you do. Out of curiosity, but it could be a tip. Before message boards, I always would burn CDs for friends/family, and the people I still have contact with still listen to the same stuff, and they've spread it to the people they know. In middle school, my classmate sitting next to me recorded a handful of cassettes of The Doors for me, and I "broke on through" (without knowing a thing about the individuals). He didn't have to do it, and back then, $5-10 was a lot, and I think that passion was what helped me pay it forward.
If I'm chatting, I'll drop YouTube links.. Sometimes I'll copy/paste something (maybe this thread, lol) onto other boards for the same reason. Once in a while I paste YouTube videos on facebook, but it seems like a majority of people don't really use it, or don't care enough to "like" it. I wish I knew how many views I get from each site to better focus my efforts.
I always think those who love music enough to sign on message boards like this are doing great work. There's a tide of not-so-great music, and I think people who try to introduce people (real life, or online where you can reach more people) to great music, especially the under-the-radar stuff. I've found many great songs on here that I might not have found anywhere else. Sometimes I'll e-mail those I know and upload a song or two. I also get a lot of joy when they get joy.
As I mentioned in a previous thread, I try to share music that isn't too popular, even though Pink Floyd and The Doors are my favorite because I know most people have heard of them, but if someone says they do like them, I might ask, "Do you like Curved Air?" and I always hope that in the future, they could give me good recommendations, and on a few occasions, it happens.

I like the music of my late parents' generation as well as music from the 1960s through the 1990s.

I do not share any music. I just listen to it on the radio.
