I do not think that is any problem watching an action movie at midnight when your wife is sleeping.

Oh well
I would rather watch a movie at midnight with my wife than watch it alone whilst my wife is sleeping.

Sometimes watching a movie late at night while others are sleeping, can be the best time to watch a movie. There are no distractions. You can immerse yourself into the story and get lost in the plot.
No phone calls, no one knocking at the door, no dogs barking... It makes for a peaceful setting to enjoy a movie.

As long as you're keeping the volume low or using headphones so it doesn’t disturb her sleep, it's perfectly fine. Everyone unwinds in their own way.
