My Busy But Fun Weekend.

I wanted to talk a bit about my weekend, but I wasn’t doing that last night because I was posting on my phone. It was a very busy weekend, but it wasn’t a bad weekend. Just a heads up, this is going to be a lengthy post, just from Friday and Saturday alone. I’m going to be real with you all… Between first drafts and revisions, I worked my butt off on last week’s writing orders. So, I decided to take Friday off. It’s a good thing I did, because my younger sister offered to pay for me to get my nails done. SOOOO, on Friday, my sister, our niece, and our best friend all went to get our nails done (minus niece, she was out with us because we were getting lunch lol). I was getting a gel manicure, and I had picked this dark pink glitter nail polish. Welp, both the lady and I forgot the number of the polish lol. As I was looking for it, I noticed a pretty pink glitter, kind of a hot pink, and I really liked it. So we did that one instead. It’s so pretty, and it was just what the doctor ordered after a week of working on longer writing orders. :) After we got our nails done, we went to lunch and then Five Below. I got an electric toothbrush and a pair of flip-flops. A little while later, we went back to my best friend’s house (my sister picked us up from there after grabbing my niece). I was staying at my best friend’s house for the night, so I hung out with her son and the dog while she took care of something personal. Then, we took her son and hit the road to grab a few more things for his birthday party the next day. I picked up some odds and ends and whatever. We also grabbed Burger King for dinner on the way home. Later that night, my best friend and I put on Hell House LLC Origins: Carmichael Manor and got started on the goodie bags. It didn’t take that long to get them done. We eventually hit the hay because we needed to be up at a decent time the next morning. Now, that brings me to Saturday. My best friend and I dropped the Little Guy off at his aunt’s house (he was riding with her and her son to the party) and hit the road. We stopped by Safeway to get the fruit and veggie platters. While we were there, I picked up my anxiety medication. I don’t remember if we went anywhere else, but I know we stopped by Giant to pick up the Animal Crossing cake. It turned out great! :) Then, we picked up her boyfriend and headed to her cousin’s house to get ready for the party. The Little Guy had an Animal Crossing birthday party, obviously lol. It was also a pool party. I didn’t swim, but I did put my legs in the pool. I hung out with family, chatted with people, ate yummy food, and took pictures when he was opening his gifts. His actual birthday was yesterday, and I guess pretty soon, I’ll have to start calling him the not-so-Little Guy lol. He’s 12 now. Pre-teen. Yes, the same little one I used to babysit back when I was on the bubble site. He’s 12 years old and starting the seventh grade, and he’s an awesome kid. :) Anywho, needless to say, everyone was exhausted after the party. On Sunday, I ran last-minute errands with my best friend and got ready for my week. It’s a mixture of working and preparing to stay at my other friend’s house for cat sitting.
