Interesting mail trip

Not that the mail was interesting--two things from AARP and ads from places I mostly don't shop. The "interesting" part... I was going down the sidewalk where the mailbox bank I go to is on the left. I hadn't gotten to the mailbox bank yet, but coming the other way were four cops. I said hello and they said hello and we passed each other and I went to my mailbox. When I was getting my mail, I could see them go to the apartment building that is just behind and to the left of the mailbox bank. Three of the officers went upstairs, and the fourth officer stayed at the bottom of the staircase. I'm not the "lookie-lou" nosy type. Not that I wasn't curious to see what was going on, but I didn't stand there staring. I got my mail and headed back to my apartment. None of the officers had their guns out or anything, but...I can't recall anything like that happening as long as I've lived here--well, there was one incident with a homeless guy--but in the four years I've lived here I've seen cops here only twice. It's possible that the incident will be posted on the police app I have on my phone or something. If not, I'll likely never know what the police visit was about.

Classic I need to remember this "lookie-lou" nosy type" I am going to put a bit of paper with that written on it through a nosy neighbours door lol So thanks for that Stacey. I would have been curious enough to ask the cops " wazzup?" I couldn't help myself Seeing cops only twice in 4 years is pretty good.

Yeah, some folks have got to know everything about everything whether it's their business or not.

@xstitcher I am a bit like that. Especially where our apartment block is concerned. I have been on charge of security for 8 years. So it's my duty and my right to know what is going on lol But my neighbour, he takes it to a while new level, but he is not right in the head

@xstitcher If it had been a dangerous situation, they would have told you to go back to your apartment and lock the door. So probably something minor. Have a great evening!

I see the police every couple of weeks here, but it’s usually a squabble that needs to be broken up (although I’ve called them 5 times, and sometimes people get violent). Once though, I was walking by, and a load of U.S. Marshals came roaring up in their SUVs, and stormed up the stairs, kicked open the door, and went inside. I did not wait around to find out what was going on.
