Went to the Dollar Tree and got a few household things and and a bag of Limo'n Potato Chips. I figured if I didn't like them I only paid $1.25 for them. But actually they were pretty good. Pretty salty though. Had never been into Catos and decided to try it out since it was next door. Some pretty clothes, but not so pretty Prices. Saw a pair of Black Dingo Boots with fringe on them. I used to have a pair years ago. They had no carts and I didn't have my walker or cane, so just left. My back hurt so bad. Walmart is in the same parking lot..sorta..so went there. Tom wanted to make Taco Soup and he needed some beans and diced tomatos. I checked to see if they had my Dark Choc chips..NOPE...and no Street Corn Cheetos. Got what I needed, but they only sell 1lb of hambrger...so I left and went to Grocery Outlet and got Ground Beef and went home. Tom made the Taco Soup, and I was a little aprehensive about eating it..But I bought some of that good Garlic Bread to help eat it. But boy was I surprised..it was really really Good. I thought with Black Beans, Northern White Beans, and Pinto Beans it was just too many beans, but the rest of the ingredients balanced it out. We had Tostito Cantina Chips. Put some in the bottom of the bowl, and then dipped them into the soup like Nahos.

I have never heard of Taco Soup before. Is it spicy soup?

There used to be a lady bartender who brought a crockpot to work with the Taco Soup. I never got to taste her soup, but Tom talked about how good it was. I always wondered about it, but had my doubts about the taste. But Tom saw an easy recipe for the soup. The only thing we would change the next time is the packet of Ranch Dressing. Recipe: Brown a pound of Hamburger, drain the grease Take Black Beans...Drain and Rinse them before adding them to the hamburger Add a can of Pinto Beans..do not rinse or drain Same with the North White Beans Add a can of Rotel Tomato Sauce (whatever heat level you like) Add 1 can of Diced Tomatos AND 16oz Can of Tomatoe Sauce A pack of Taco Seasoning A pack of Ranch Dressing mix Simmer for about 30 min. Crumble Thin plain taco chips into bottom of the bowl, add soup then add Sour Cream and Shredded Cheese. I loved it, but Tom really hates the taste of the Ranch Dressing in it. You CAN taste the aftertaste of Ranch, but I don't think I would use it next time. Really easy to make.

I LOVE all kinds of beans. Whenever I used to make chili, hubby only wanted one can of beans; and I wanted to put in 2 or 3!!!
