Rain washed away morning but I tried to save a part of it

It had been raining through the night but it intensified in the morning at about 9. I had my breakfast and hoped faintly the workers would come to work in my new house. By 10 they should have. The pouring rain must have obstructed them. Some children did go to the government school. The primary school children were told to stay home. I decided to help Barsha ( Class V) with her mathematics. She practiced multiplication and division for an hour. Her math book was torn into two halves. I stitched and repaired it with cello tape. She was happy and grateful. She will step into her teens next year. I will have to guide her tenderly and carefully. In the evening now, I am sitting with three English school children. One of them, Gagan, ( Class III) needs help to complete his assignment in two subjects. Hope he can submit them tomorrow. My days pass in doing such little things . If there is nothing much to do I just hug the children and speak a few encouraging words to them. When I say my night prayers at 11 I hope l will have some good acts to offer God.
