Friends, you are aware that I have been in the air force and have flown the MIG 21. This is a versatile jet and flies a speed of Mach 2. I 'have been handling this machine for years. I always liked the plane but the Air Force was slowly phasing away these fighters as they were becoming obsolete. The last squadron was disbanded and the last plane was put in mothballs and will be displayed at the Air Force museum at Palam. I have fond memories of this plane and have gone into combat. The plane served the IAF for almost 60 years and the earliest models came to India in 1961. Well everything has a life like human life and so this plane has now gone into the sunset, leaving behind memories of it being one of the greatest planes of the 20th century
