Every few years I get the itch to do more research on my family tree. Mostly my dad's. I haven't seen my dad in thirty plus years and have only talked to him a handful of times since. So I have many questions about his family. However thanks to the internet I am able to fill in the gaps a little bit. I was doing some searching on Ancestry.com , and found my great grandpas draft card. So I thought I would share that, becuase it's cool to me. Have you done any searching for your family tree?

That is very cool. My sister did a lot of research on our family’s ancestry, including using Ancestry.com. Weirdly, but may not surprisingly, my awful terrible uncle on my mom’s side of the family (her brother) was most fascinated by some relative that used to run with Jesse James.

I mean that makes a fun story. My step dad's grandma was Walt Disney's sister or something. I don't remember exactly how they were related, but she was a Disney by birth. And my step grandparents had an original drawing from Walt Disney.

Not as complicated as you think, most of my dads family is from Norway and Sweden and I'm back on 1700.

Yes it was a little fantasy or close to unbelievable to a certain sense. Because of the danger that still involves, there was a hidden part of my family tree history. My first descendants was adopted after being send away by his mother in fear of the struggle in the crown could cause him his life. His son (the second person in the family tree) who was appointed as a minister level officer and migrated to southern province of China and marry a local there. And his descendants spread to Hainan and Thailand. So I am not a pure chinese. I am mixed because of my ancestor.

Nope, I've never looked into of my ancestry, as I have most of it pieced together from family stories and history going all the way back to Scotland in Medieval times.
