"'Treated worse than an animal': Mother and boyfriend starved adopted son with autism, chained him to a cot, authorities say" I'll refrain from posting the whole article, but its absolutely disgusting! How can anyone hurt a child? How does anyone get approved to adopt when this is the kind of person they are? Adopted kids are already going to be facing struggles, throw in the autism...this poor kid needed someone who can give the extra love, support, and care. Punishment can't be severe enough without being "cruel and unusual" under the law. IMO, too bad. They were also cruel and unusual.
