I got bitten by my hamster. should I get worried

I read infection from a hamster bite is rare but still possible. I don't know should I wait and see if there'll be infection on the area bitten before I get checked. I read neosporin cream can be applied. It happened when I was trying to fix his cage and him was going near my fingers while holding three cage. Never thought he would bite. kind of painful. felt like the skin of my finger was metal grill of the cage. but there no any sharp corner on the cage where I can get the wound. There was a small bleeding. maybe like a small drop of blood. I immediately washed it with soap and water and a drop of antiseptic solution. Hopefully it is not serious.
