Steamed rice cake with shredded colocasia leaves

Colocasia leaves come in two colours black and green Due to heavy rain our black variety has just disapeared They are supposed to taste better. But we picked up a couple of green leaves from what was growing outside our gate The maid picked them up Boiled rice is soaked overnight, ground to a paste with a touch of tamarind and salt. Shredded colocasia leaves are added and the dough is steamed. Pieces of this rice cake is added to a roasted masala that is tempered with caramelized thinly sliced onion The pieces need to soak in the curry before they are consumed We had this yesterday There is lots left and that will last for a few more days. Wow that look delicious to eat and lot of work to prepare it na. I would have finished it. No more left overs.
