Near the water bodies the land is more fertile

In bengal in addition to the rivers there are many ponds lakes tanks and smaller water bodies. The lands adjacent to them are most fertile. The land is good for rice cultivation and also for fruits like bananas.

yes Rasma there are agricultural land on both sides of the water bodies
