People who dress to church to impress

That seems like an unusual view; maybe expressed by someone who doesn’t go to church regularly? I was taught to dress respectfully, but heaven knows no one at any church I have been to goes to church to show off. God doesn’t care what anyone wears. He’s not going to answer prayers according to the best dressed, and seeing how most people here don’t make shows of their prayers I’m not sure how there is a connection to clothes. Now, I’m sure there are religions who are like you describe. But I truly do not believe that is the experience of most people who attend church. Especially if they attend regularly and and see the heart of the people who attend and worship the Lord.
