Trying on My New Eyeglasses

I haven't had to wear eyeglasses in 30 years. I had RK eye surgery before they invented Lasik eye surgery.
I've needed "cheater readers" for about 12 years now but nothing for distance.
These are "progressive lenses" meaning bifocals without lines, or 3 different points of magnification throughout the lenses. One for far away, one for computer distance, and one for up-close reading.
They are making me feel weird until I get used to them. I hope they don't make me sick or give me vertigo. I don't think I'm going to take them on my trip tomorrow until I've adjusted to them.
Photo is a stock photo. That's not me. I'm an old lady. hahaha
Do you wear glasses? Was it hard getting used to?

@looeyville I have varifocals like what you describe. Took a few days to get accustomed to them.

I've worn progressives for a long time. They are easy to get used to in my opinion. Don't try to talk yourself into the fact that you may have vertigo or what not. If you relax and just be..you should be fine. Have a great trip!

I’ve been wearing glasses since I was seven, so there was very little to “get used to.” I tried those progressive lenses, and hated them. I have “regular” bifocals, and for that “tweener” vision I just take my glasses off.

When I first started wearing glasses in 7th grade it took a while to get used to them, Now since even though things are blurry I can see pretty well without glasses on I sometimes head to the bathroom at night and returning only realized I had not put on my glasses,
