I went to the library, and the building that they've been using as the "mini-library" was open at the back, and there were some people at a table in front of it.
At first, I asked where I could return the books I had, and I could swear I was told in the back, where I remembered there had been a book drop before.
When I got back there, some other guys told me to go back to the front. O-kay.
Then when I got to the table again, I was told to return my books at the slot at the front of the main library. So, I did.
After that, I went back to the table and said I was there to pick up a book on hold. One of the people asked me my name and took my library card, and then after a couple of minutes came out with my card and my book.
The main library is supposed to open again on the twenty-first. It will be interesting to see what they've done, though I saw nothing wrong with it in the first place--yeah, it needed updating, but from what I've seen online and things they're totally changing it. Oh, well.
When I was at the front of the library, another lady was there and tried to look in the library window to see what they'd done (after she looked, I did, too) but there was paper or something covering most of the windows, so you couldn't really see much. Someday soon I'll see it.
I missed the bus--I saw it leaving the bus stop as I was heading there--and after a few seconds sitting at the bus stop, I decided to just walk home. Currently I have 4,782 steps on my step counter.
Now, on to book #41 !
Hope all is well with you in your part of myLot land!

Sounds like quite the little adventure at the library! At least you managed to get your book in the end, even with the back-and-forth

The library was built in 1976. I don't know if they've ever done any "modernizing" since then--I don't think so, as it's been the same as I remember for a long time. It will be interesting to see how it looks when it's open.
