My brother texted me to see if I was going to need any money this month. I told him yes, probably, as they hadn't called me in to work (although school started just two days ago). He texted back and said I should call and let them know I'm available. I'm on their payroll already, but he doesn't know how they work. So, I called, just so I could tell him I did, and I was told that they no longer have an actual person who calls and lets subs know when they're needed at a particular school, but a "robot" that calls and sees if you're available, and if you don't answer they go on to the next person. I'll be answering every call I get!
