I was looking for dry Kashmir chillies that we do not get here, I placed an order on Amazon in and found them to be pretty cheap - just Rs. 28 for 100 grams and the minimum order was for 300 grams. I found the rate to be extremely cheap.
I placed the order and was shocked when I was asked to pay Rs. 120 as delivery charges.
I cancelled the order and decided to eat curries that may have less colour Kashmir chilies produce a lovely red colour
What say?

That's too much. If you become a prime member of Amazon you may not have to bear the delivery charges.

I used to be one but I preferred paying delivery charges rather than waste money on being one

@allknowing It's not waste of money for me as I often order things from Amazon.

You should have checked it completely before you placed the order.

For 100 gms the delivery charges are Rs. 40 but the minimum to order there is 300 gms. It is only one delivery and yet they charged for 3 deliveries I have taken it up with them already Let' ssee what will be their response.

Yeah, that delivery charge totally cancels out the cheap price.. it’s almost like paying more for the ride than the item itself.

I can see that too high delivery fee in an order using a mail courier by our government. That's why I didn't use to buy any item in Ebay PH.

@cabuyogty It is not the queston of having enough money but the principle behind it

@allknowing Yes. I think that paying too much money in your order is not good for the budget unless you really need the item and you have enough money for the delivery fee.

I always check shipping before ordering. Especially now with all the tariffs going on

Well, when I get gift cards and place an order with Amazon, I make sure to get free delivery and make sure I have the amount I need to check off on free delivery.

I do not mind paying but it should be a single charge.
