A Man, Poor But Honest / myLot

Today a old gentleman came to my store. I recalled I had seen him somewhere before. He gave me Rs 1200 ( around 14 dollars), and said he had borrowed some things from me about 7 months ago. Now he had come to repay the money. He lives alone at a village. He is the lone member of his family. I asked him to come in and offered him a chair. He told me he is a vegetable farmer. It took him seven months to save the amount.

That’s such a touching story. It really shows his honesty and determination—saving for seven months just to repay a debt. Small acts like this restore faith in people.

Thank you, my friend. He is poor and yet honest. I had forgotten he had borrowed from me. It was a small amount. Had he not reminded me, I would not be able to remember he had borrowed from me..Such poor, but honest man are rare. Thanks again.
