They were eqiipped with what was required to take care of a cat that has wounded his paw.
I put him in the bedroom. They said our hall is big and it is better that they tackle him there I gave permission. Peppie never let them touch him and climbed right up to the ventilator and he is there now. One of the vets even climbed up with the towel but did not succeed
The Vets said the way he was running around in the bedrom - around the bed, under the bed........ made them feel he is not that sick after all.
They have given me a pain killer - 3 drops to be added in his food for two days
This is peppie for you. Was Peppie pretending?
I have now decided to leave him to his own devices and keep my fingers crossed.

I guess that's just how he is; he doesn't really need to be checked by his owners. Just let him be—if he needed help, I think he’d let you assist him. From the way he acted, he seems fine enough to skip the vet. Just make sure to feed him and include the meds with his food so his recovery will be quicker.

After the Vets left he grumbled bumbled sitting up there and finally came down and asked for his food I added those drops and gave him. He is now relaxed.
I have given up and let him look after himself

@allknowing I guess that is the best that you can do like you have no care but just give the meds without forcing him to take it. I think that is what he just needs.

Poor Peppie. He must have been scared, not really pretending.
Cats can be so good at hiding their pain. Hopefully with the medicine and some rest, he’ll feel much better soon.

We have had cats for a number of years but I must admit have not understood them.
