Looking a tthis image it took me to my childhood when it was these types of candy that
we got to enjoy They were wrapped in colourful foil and we never threw that foil away.
We worked on them and created 'butterflies' We mounted them on broom sticks and placed them in a vase
The candy was hard and it took us a while to chew them. I am looking for such candy now.

Oh, that reminds me of how those candy wrappers were both a source of joy and a way to create nice decorations for a school project. We collected many, folded them into flowers and leaves, and they became flowers. When they were collected at school, the various colors of candy wrappers looked great. . I don't see them being done anymore, possibly because candies are no longer considered healthy.

I am glad it is a thing of the past just to reminisce - thoughts just flood. And I doubt today's kids will find them interesting

@allknowing I believe the magic of candy is still good with children, but I doubt that recycling the wrappers would be appealing to them because they are no longer taught in art classes.
