Tonight, the Rain Falls Softly

Tonight, the rain falls without loud noise just gentle drops touching the roof like whispers from the sky. Cold air wraps around the city, slowing every step and making the heart more sensitive. I sit by the window, watching the wet streets and the lights reflecting in puddles. In my hand, a cup of warm tea releases soft steam, as if trying to fight off the chill creeping into the house and into my thoughts. Outside, the sound of rain feels like a song that never ends. It doesn’t bring sadness, but it’s not joy either. Just a deep silence, like a space between memories and hopes. I open my small notebook and write: "Tonight is cold, but I’m not alone. The rain keeps me company, the silence is honest, and I’m still trying to understand this world that keeps moving." I take a deep breath and smile softly. Maybe nights like this aren’t meant to be chased, but to be felt. To be still for a moment, and let the heart speak.
