Just back from the eye doctor

The doctor arrived half an hour late and I made my dissatisfaction known
He chekced using a bright torch and also asked me to read letters which I did. He said he wants to check my other retina which is in good condition later As some of you know I have ARMD on one eye
Gave me drops to use
So far so good
I was wondering if there was a cataract issue that he did not say. Fingers crossed.

What is ARMD?
Cataract is easy to detect. Thankfully, you don't have that. Hope that the drops help.

@allknowing Oh,! I see. Thank you for the explanation. I should start doing it. Anyways, I am due for my annual diabetic eye check up..I am planning to get it done this weekend..I hope that it doesn't pour like it did on last weekend. I had to cancel it last weekend.

@arunima25 You can do that test yourself Close one eye and look at the window rods. If they go wonky then you have ARMD in that eye Do it with the other eye

If I had had cataracts, the doctor would have noticed them immediately because it is something that is easy for an ophthalmologist to see. So, I think everything's fine, fortunately, and it's great that they gave you drops; you needed them badly. Cheer up!

Never heard of the retina having a hole and then patching it up. I have AMRD on one of my eyes and that cannot be cured.

@allknowing Retina hole was fixed through laser intervention which was quite unpleasant.
It was as if my eye was subjected to blinding light.

It’s good that he checked things thoroughly, even if the wait was frustrating. The drops should help.. are you noticing any difference yet?
