I recall sharing that my mom and I often clash. Our relationship was toxic. Until my cousin died of cancer a month ago. She has totally changed. Perhaps, she came to realize how fragile life is. I have been suffering from hormonal imbalance since in my twenties. I was diagnosed with adenomyomis with endometriosis and ovarian cyst. On top of that, I have a retroverted uterus. I have undergone three surgeries. First was breast fibrodenoma. Second, was cesarean - when I gave birth to my daughter. Third, laparoscopy and laparotomy for removal of ovarian cyst. My nodules recurred, but thanks heavens, they are benign. I am currently off Visanne-my hormone replacement pill. But I had been on it for 9 years before I ceased using it. My cousin succumbed to stage 4 ovarian cancer. We were all taken by surprise as she kept it a secret until her last breath. I only found out about it two days after her passing. Her younger sister informed me. I was the first relative to know about it. I believe her passing was a wake-up call to my mom. Since my cousin's death, she has always been careful with how she treats me.
