I have lit one diya in the lotus
.
This is the last day for one more ganesh
in my street.
From my side I have distributed sweets to devotees who came for lighting diyas.
All came in traditional wear except me.
And this welcome is for devotees I think. As Ganesh is getting ready for tomorrow's immersion
.
I have seen many ganesha's passing till now.But this one somewhat closer to me.Dialy I visited him.I think I miss him badly.

You might also have heard about Diwali, which is also called the festival of lights, in India. It falls next month. Starting August there are a lot of festivals in India and Diwali is the peak of them all.

I've known many different rituals related to the Lord Ganesh festival. But I don't know how I missed this one. I mean the ritual of lighting diyas. In which part of India is that?

@Kusumakrishna Nice. South India is filled with a lot of traditions. Good to know that. And it's acceptable that some won't follow. It's ok.

The diyas over the rangoli look beautiful. I prayer at home and offered prasad to Lord Ganesh.
