I'm glad that this book was short. I didn't really care for the author's writing--it was too all-over-the-place.
Many of the characters were down right annoying. All the mother of one of the main characters seemed to care about was getting in with the rich crowd and forcing her son to make friends with the rich kids. The other main character may have been something of a genius, but had no manners and was obnoxious in other ways. Many of the rich parents were disgustingly snooty, and the "mystery" that was mentioned in the book was kind of in the background.
Not an author I'd want to read again.

Well, everything is relative and between tastes and colors, some people really like this type of content or the way the plot develops and others prefer something much more emphasized.
