Months are spent to choose a name for a baby but one never uses those names while addressing anyone Some shorten them and some have pet names resulting in everyone forgetting their real names.
The real names are only for officia records where govenrments are involved.
Here is a list of names that are 'murdered'
In my case a 'y' is added to my name spoiling my beautiful name

My friend was commenting on this the other day; all her children's names have been shortened except one, Clara, which is very difficult to abbreviate. Having said that she (the mother) was generally the one who referred to her children by the abbreviated names!

One of my friends' name is Elizabeth but she is known as Bessy and she says she does not like it my sister's name is Lilly but we call her Lila - tell me why I can go on and on
