Many years ago, my country used to take 'String Loans' from America. This meant we had to use the money to buy American goods. This was the stupidest thing I ever heard and I spoke of it, often in language NSFA. Can you imagine borrowing money you have to use to buy American products, then pay back the loan? Over time, being intelligent we took less and less until we were able to walk away without sending any signals. Although Trump is 'new' in the job, we know the kind of trickery and treachery we can expect from the US so act proactively. We began making our own products and importing from other countries. Like most Third World nations we were 'invaded' by China. When it comes to clothes and shoes and electronics; Made in China. Now other countries relied on the US as if it was the only 'shop' in town. Today they face the tariffs. However, we, as many nations ,sell goods to some American Company. It is that Company which brings the goods to the US, which pays the tariffs, which it passes on to Americans. Simply put, we, and other countries, are paying no tariffs cause we don't sell directly to the US but to some importer who pays the tariffs. We learned our lesson in the 1980s.

That is true cause Trump has no 'platform'. He will babble about ending a war, or advancing the US economy, but has no clue. Doesn't he know that Putin has as much respect for him as I have for a cockroach? Doesn't he know is the consumer who will pay the price of the goods?
