This flower blooms once in 12 years

The Nilgiris mountains in the State of Tamil Nadu, India got its name because of this flower.
It is blue in colour and blooms in abundance in the hills once every12 years. The view is spectacular. Tourists who happen to be there in the year it blooms have a view to remember

The name of the flower is Neelakurinji Neela means blue and the name of the mountains Nilgiris gets its name from this flower

That in itself is a pretty place to visit and if one can visit in the year this flower blooms that will be a bonus
