Reviving Lost Hobbies

I miss having hobbies in my life to help distract from the chaos of society. Way back when I still actively creating I was very into crochet, painting, and writing. I am going to try and get back into these before spreading my horizons to other activities. I figure here is where I can definitely benefit the most with my writing and reading. Maybe I'll give creative writing a try like trying to come up with my own stories or things of the likes. With the colder months approaching I can definitely start out simple with my crocheting as well. Might start with hats since that for me seems easiest to get back into the rhythm of. As far as my painting, that will have to wait until the funds become available for it. What are hobbies that you all find the most enthralling and time consuming? Like I want to be able to get lost in the craft. I've considered learning an instrument as well but that is fund dependent as well. I'm open to all suggestions for new hobbies to try.
