Diving Back Into Reading

I really miss the way I used to devour literature. I could finish multiple books in a week. Now I'm lucky to be able to sit down and start reading for pleasure. I'm not sure where I started slowing down with it, but boy do I miss it. I've got quite a few books waiting for me to crack them open and a few I've started but not finished. Some horror, some self help, and some informational nonfictions about serial killers and cults. I used to be really into like supernatural romance novels. Then I had gotten into tear jerkers like Malice by Danielle Steele and A Child Called It by David Pelzer. I think I'm drawn to whatever can move me in fear or emotionally in general. I love consuming material that makes you really FEEL what they are putting on the page. Anyone else with similar tastes? Has anyone else read the ones I've mentioned above?

I totally get what you mean! Lately, I haven’t really had time to read or even buy books, but I miss it so much too. I love anything that really makes me feel the story—fear, sadness, excitement. Hopefully I can get back into it soon! Which book are you planning to start next?

@IvySaysHi Oh, I haven’t heard of My Best Friend’s Exorcism! Sounds intriguing though. Scary, funny, or a mix of both?

@annierose sounds comical but its supposed to be a teen horror flick. 2 teen girls whove been besties since 4th grade go skinny dipping one night which results in im assuming one of them getting posessed and they have to somehow fix her. It is set in the 80s i believe
