The doctor I was supposed to speak to called about 20 minutes early She asked me what I had wanted to talk about, and to be honest, I told her, I wasn't %100 sure, either (if I had known, I forgot). So, she looked at my chart, and told me that my previous lab (blood test) results were normal, though my cholesterol was elevated. She asked about exercise, and I told her I walked, which she said was good, but I needed to do some weight exercises too. I told her there is a gym here in my apartment complex (which I've never used in the four years I've lived here ) so I guess I'd better start using it. I'm pretty sure I've seen weights in there, but of course, I know to start with lighter weights at first. There's a code to get in there, though, and I'll have to go to the office to see what that is (I could call them, but hey, it's more steps if I walk down there ). So, that was that. I guess I'll have to get into a routine of going down there every day. She asked if I had any questions, and I asked if I had to eat salad every day or what, and she said she would get me in touch with a nutritionist. Sigh. I've been given plans to lower my cholesterol before, but I'm afraid I never really followed them. I guess I really need to pay attention to them, now.
