Should getting a drivers license be based on age or maturity?

I think there are some kids in the world that are too young to have their drivers license but are more mature and would be better drivers than some of the adults I know. What do you think?

Oh I agree with you for sure. But, I don't know how they could ever base that to do it for real.

Yes unfortunately I don't know how they'd do it either.

There's no way to judge how mature someone is when they're at the DMV. Maturity is relative anyway. It should be based on age. It's 16 right now in California, but I think they are raising it ot 18 for people who were born after 1991.

I know theres no way to test maturity. I just think some older people may have been driving for years but they are still irresponsible behind the wheel.

If it was based on maturity, some people may never get one. Some young people are better drivers then some adult's so that is a hard one. Who would detemine if you are mature enough? I don't think that would work, so maybe just stay with age.

In a perfect world it may but for now we'll have to deal with those crazy drivers.
