Why would Trump increase visa fees to $100000?

Any one seeking the H1B visa also known as the skilled work visa will now have to pay a visa fee of $100000 according to president Trump. Trump wants companies to hire American first before entertaining application from outside of America.

if your country is over populated by techies.. fine. But what about other countries which have shortages... where the best and brightest is abducted.

Applaud this! He won't be stealing our top people. I can tell you of a computer genius I knew who was working for a local company, in a high office with lots of perqs who was virtually abducted by an American company. His absence has effected the local company. We have a nursing shortage because they are enticed to the US... so let them stay here and help my country

@ogbenishyna44 Americans recruit the best or who they need. To have to pay a tariff like that for a nurse who wouldn't earn that in a year will stop the abduction. The joke is, there aren't enough nurses nor nurses aids for Americans don't want those jobs
