Te papayas that we get in stores are huge and almost seedless. They are not tasty and neither are they juicy We had papayas growing in our garden and because of heavy rain the trees did not last. I have sown seeds now and hopefully I should have papayas in our garden that are tasty and juicy just like the one you see in the photo.

Papaya seeds germinate faster.I hope you will get more plants of this native breed. In stores they sell hybrid variety i think.I also found them in my nearest stores.they do not have single seed. I never considered them as real papayas

Papayas are very common fruits here. I seldom eat them. Perhaps I don't enjoy its special smell.

The fact that they are common is one reason why many do not go for them. I love them.

What we get in the market are not naturally grown that is why they are not tasty and juicy at all. I too have grown papaya in my garden such a sweet and juicy it is.
