Sorry is a cheap word

How cheap the word SORRY is. After doing what one wants to do after saying what one wants to say prompt comes the word SORRY
Is it that easy to ignore the hurts inflicted by those actions just by uttering that word?
Can what is said be wiped out forever?
Or is there a situation when one refuses to accept that apology and moves on never to have anything to do with that person?
Do you often say 'SORRY?

@sathviksouvik Those are small issues but there are some who do damage that cannot be redressed and think by just saying sorry all is well

Psychopaths say sorry all the time, yet they have no guilt for themselves or conscience.
