Grandson has a new football team

So it’s our weekend to have the Grandkids …..except that this weekend it’s only the Grandson as the Grandaughter has a sleep over with a friend.
Ok, we can have a lie in then we thought ….no such luck…..just found out that Grandson has started his football training again so we have an early morning to get him to the ground in time.
He went to a different team last season but they were older and in a different league so he decided to find another team, we think he is going back to the original team.
More on the new season tomorrow …..

I don’t mind the early mornings really ! ( Well, I would enjoy mornings a lot more if they started later ….i am a night owl ! ) However, Football is the only thing that he has stuck at for any length of time. I love going to watch and cheer him on.

@Traceyjayne I wouldn't mind the early mornings so much, it's the standing about on the edge of a cold field for ages that wouldn't appeal!

@Fleura not too bad at the moment. But in the middle of Winter it’s not so pleasant ! I have sunk into the grass/mud in the past because it’s rained so much previously…. Standing on snow is not so lovely either ….makes you realise wearing more than one pair of socks is a good idea sometimes….
