The past days were very stressful for me

Last September 11 I brought my elder sister to the hospital aboard in the ambulance we requested. She told me that she just want to have checked and treated at the emergency but that's not the case as she was confine there for a week. Per attending physician's advice she should stay for another days to finish her treatment but she insisted to just continue the IV treatment at home. Since no other family members to look after her during night time during the confinement , I have no choice but to take the responsibility even if I have a day time job. The problem is I can't get enough rest or sleep while at the hospital so that was a very exhausting experience. Thankfully, we're able to go home by the 17th. I was worried of their situation because his husband is also sick and being a PWD and things wouldn't be easy for them because we cannot rely on the 2 boys (grandsons) they have with them however at the very least they can help. But, look how unfortunate things can be because the next day it's her husband again that I brought to the hospital for another emergency. In my mind, would I stay again at the hospital for another days if he is required to be confined? Thankfully, the doctor advised us to just go home when things get better at night. Nah! I was not able to report to work that day. I called up their children who are living far places in the country that someone must go home to take care of them at this difficult situation. I can't handle it by myself or with my other sibling and few family members to look after them all the time because we also have other responsibilities. Now that two of their children had arrived, I can at least take the necessary rest that I needed.

It's good that you were there when it happened. It is hard when the kids are all living away from their parents.

Yes, I called the eldest to come home ASAP since she's not working and the least pre-occupied of them. It's much better the they can see their parents still alive. Although it's temporary but at this very moment their presence is needed the most.

That was extremely stressful for you because they are your extended family and their immediate relatives are too far away to care for them, so it became your responsibility to look after them. I hope their children will have the time to care for them now, find jobs closer to them, or become more responsible to their children.

I just can hope that they be all well after this but what to expect? The two of their children wouldn't stay there for long I supposed because they also have their own family and must return home not sooner but maybe later. My sister was scheduled for biopsy and I hope that nothing is serious once the test is performed and the result come out.
