Ginger flowers

They have a botanical name Alpunia purpurata but we call them ginger flowers, as the plant resembles a ginger plant and the leaves smell of ginger. They propagate easily and even flowers develop plants that could be planted. We have these in our garden and I have to restrict their propagation. The flowers last on the plant for days and they do adorn our garden

Those are beautiful! It's amazing how nature sometimes gives us almost too much of a good thing. Having to manage such enthusiastic plants is a great problem to have.

@allknowing Exactly! It's the kind of "issue" every gardener would love to have. Your garden must be absolutely bursting with life and color
