Tommy Masters and the Invisables - Chapter 1

Tommy, a typical 10-year-old boy who lived in a typical house on a typical street in a typical neighborhood Tommy had red hair that looked like fire when it was blown by the wind, and no matter what was done to it, it would be back and wild within a few days. From a young age, Tommy was told he was special and that he came to be with his parents through mysterious circumstances. His parents would never elaborate on what was so mysterious about his birth, other than his birth parents were unknown, as he was left on the doorstep of a hospital with a note that said, "Take care of our little Tommy and know that we love him." One morning in Tommy's room, there was a sound out of nowhere of rustling papers and the sound of drawers being opened, and Tommy was asleep on his bed across the room, but from all appearances, no one could be seen. With the sound of a thud from across the room, Tommy awoke, and standing on top of Tommy's bedroom desk stood a little man about 2 Feet tall. With a startled look, Tommy saw the little man and called out, " Hey, who are you and what are you doing in here" The little man muttered to himself, "Not to worry, Fletcher, no one can see you, just carry on and get the heck out of here." " I can see you, you know, " Tommy exclaimed," and who is Fletcher?" Fletcher looked up and realised he was discovered; the only way he could be discovered was if he was one of his kind. Could this be his Tommy? It had been 10 years since he saw his little boy, and the red hair and sapphire blue eyes, it's highly possible, "My name is Fletcher, and I think your name is Tommy, am I right? said the little man now sitting on the edge of the desk with his legs hanging off the edge. " Your parents adopted you about 10 years ago after the doctors found you outside on a snowy winter morning." " How do you know that ?" asked Tommy, looking on with interest " You come from a mystical line of people called the Invisibles, and I know this Tommy because I am your father, and the reason you can see me while others don't is because you are an invisible." Tommy looked on in total amazement, not sure what to believe. Was this why sometimes he felt like he was invisible, like no one saw him was because he really WAS invisible? A whole new world was about to be revealed to Tommy that he knew nothing about and his life was about to get a whole lot more complicated.
